Legal
Privacy policy.
We treat every inquiry as confidential. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Overview
Discretion is the product.
Neumann Paige is a private consultancy. People who reach out to us are almost always dealing with something sensitive — a search result, a public accusation, an unwanted association, an executive matter that cannot be discussed openly. This policy is written with that reality in mind.
This page is maintained by Neumann Paige and describes how we handle information submitted through neumannpaige.com and during consultations or client engagements. It is not a certification, and it does not create a contract. Client work is governed by a separate written engagement letter that supersedes anything on this page.
01
What we collect.
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to do the work you have hired us to do.
- Information you provide. Name, email, phone, company or firm, and the details you choose to share in a consultation form, email, or call — including the nature of the situation you want addressed.
- Engagement records. Documents, links, screenshots, prior counsel notes, and any other material you send us in the course of an engagement.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, referring page, timestamps) and cookies strictly necessary for the site to function.
- Analytics. Aggregate, non-identifying usage data so we can understand which pages people find useful. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party ad trackers on this site.
02
How we use it.
Information you share is used to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule a confidential consultation.
- Assess whether we are the right fit for the situation you describe.
- Deliver the services outlined in a signed engagement letter.
- Communicate about active work, billing, and case-specific updates.
- Meet legal, tax, and professional recordkeeping obligations.
- Protect the security and integrity of this site and our systems.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade contact details. We do not use the details of one client's situation to market to anyone else.
03
Confidentiality and legal privilege.
Consultation intake is treated as confidential from the first contact. When an engagement involves attorneys — either yours or ours — communications may be conducted under attorney-client privilege or attorney work-product doctrine where applicable. Whether a given communication is privileged depends on the specifics of the engagement and applicable law; nothing on this page creates a privileged relationship on its own.
Before an engagement letter is signed, please do not send documents you consider highly sensitive. Once we are engaged, we will tell you the appropriate channel for secure transmission.
04
Who we share it with.
We share personal information only with parties who need it to do the work, and only under confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy.
- Our team. Neumann Paige personnel working on your matter.
- Service providers. Vetted infrastructure vendors that host this site, send transactional email, store engagement records, and secure our systems. These vendors process data on our behalf under written terms.
We do not disclose that you are a client, prospective client, or subject of an engagement to anyone outside this list without your permission.
05
Cookies and site analytics.
This site uses cookies and similar technologies only as needed to serve pages, remember basic preferences, and protect against abuse. We use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate traffic patterns. We do not deploy advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or session replay tools on this site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Doing so will not prevent you from reading the site, but some form submissions may not work.
06
Retention.
We keep inquiry and engagement information only for as long as we have a legitimate business reason to keep it:
- Consultation inquiries that do not become engagements: retained for a limited period, then deleted or de-identified.
- Active engagement files: retained for the duration of the engagement.
- Post-engagement records: retained per the engagement letter and applicable professional and legal recordkeeping requirements, then securely destroyed.
- Server and security logs: short retention windows sufficient for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
07
Your choices and rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of information we no longer need to keep.
- Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@neumannpaige.com. We will verify the request and respond within the time frame required by applicable law.
08
Security.
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information — including access controls, encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and least-privilege permissions for internal systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat protection of client information as core to the practice.
09
International visitors.
Neumann Paige operates from the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you understand that information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your home jurisdiction.
10
Children.
This site and our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
11
Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. The effective date at the top of the page indicates when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated to active clients directly where appropriate.
